If a band member is unable to attend a rehearsal, it is their responsibility to call, text or email to cancel BEFORE the meeting time. Â Each member is expected to respect fellow band members in this way. Â There will be no makeups for missed meetings. Â The tuition you pay reserves a time each week with the group. Â I cannot resell that time or consistently create extra time to host makeup meetings.
If a band member is ill, please stay at home out of respect to the other families who visit the studio space. Â I am more then happy to provide an overview of our meeting via phone or email.
If a member has been absent for three consecutive weeks, with no cancellation notice or reply to phone/email messages, their position in the band may be forfeited immediately.
If a member chooses to forfeit their membership before the completion of a session block, they are expected to give fellow band members a verbal  TWO WEEKS NOTICE before they plan to leave.  There will be no refund for early termination of membership.

If a member chooses to not continue in following sessions, they will be placed at the bottom of the wait-list.
If a band member is not meeting rehearsal or group expectations, ins not responding to new strategies and interventions, and is not participating in the group as a result, Roxy Roth reserves the right to request they step down from their membership if all other strategies have been exhausted.
If Roxy Roth needs to cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, she will notify you as soon as possible then a) reschedule or b) refund the meeting time.

Performing
There will be a minimum of two performance recitals a year, at christmas and in the spring. Â Performance opportunities help band members work towards goals and demonstrate their talents to the community. Â They also help students develop self-confidence, stage-presence and discipline.
The teaching studio is equipped with recording (video & audio) gear to provide studetns with immediate feedback for the purpose of self-analysis. Â This is a great way to practice “performing” without the pressure of playing in a live environment. Â Please note that this program will not include a final recording project as the emphasis is on performance, not recording. Â For recording opportunities, please consider the summer Rock Camp.
Members wishing to borrow music from the RoxyFx Library may do so by checking out the materials for a maximum of two weeks. Â The lending library has tools for sight-reading, reviewing repertoire, and listening to various artists via the mp3 library. Â Students will need to provide a CD, iPod or flashdrive to trasnfer songs for listening purposes. Â Listening to music effectively will provide excellent ear training and understanding of different artists as they develop music literacy.
Electric bass, acoustic & electric guitars and keyboards are available for rent ($30/month) so the student may explore instruments outside of their main instrument of study. Â Please note, members are expected to provide their own instrument for main study.
